Today I learned that Japanese intonation will be the death
of me. 😭 So いいえ can be "No" and "Not at all" but also "You're welcome" depending on which part of it you put the high and low pitch.
Some other example words my book says (HL to LH)
しろ (White or Castle)
あめ (Rain or Candy)
はし (Chopsticks or Bridge)
かみ (God or Paper)
かき (Oyster or Persimmon)
Guess pitch is gonna be super important! 😅
