キレイとは傷跡がないことじゃない

Why is きれいwritten in katakana here? Is there

any reason for that? Or is that a mistake from the website? It is from Official髭男dism's song ビンテージ

@Zooey yeah, it's pretty confusing sometimes. On the other hand, it makes me feel better to know that even Japanese people don't know or use all Kanji 😅

No, it’s not a mistake. We sometimes write words in katakana for various reasons, like if kanji 綺麗 is used, that looks too many kanji, or キレイ looks and sounds a bit lighter than kanji 綺麗, or just that the person is not used to using kanji 綺麗...etc. I personally tend to avoid using 綺麗 too because it has too many strokes😅
