⬇️🥑🥑How To Choose an Avocado🥑🥑⬇️

I'm often asked how to choose

the right avocado at a supermarket.

Today, I'm going to answer that for you guys.

Please take a look at the picture below. Out of the green and black avocados, which one is the best to choose?

Of course, it must be the soft black ones!

Wrong. It's the hardest and greenest ones.

Why? Won't it be impossible to eat if it's hard?

It takes an avocado about four or five days to become soft and ripen. Once it ripens, it can go bad before you even know it.

Because the soft avocados at the supermarket have already begun to ripen, they are no good. If you buy them, they might go bad the next day.

But, if you buy the hard ones, they will ripen in about four days, so you can slowly wait. Check the softness of the avocado each day, and when it gets soft and dark, eat it right away.

why not seperate the black and the green and sell them at respective prices .for the black have ripened and are about to be bad,i think it should be cheaper than the green.😁

@Kay I dont recommend it. Let's say you have a green avocado at the bottom, with many avocados on top of it. The green one starts to soften and ripen, but because it has a lot of weight on top of it, it starts to get very soft from the weight. If you grab that one, it will be soft and black, but when you cut it, it will be black and rotten in the parts where the weight of the other avocados hit it. This is the case in supermarkets. If you absolutely need one on the day of, find one that is slightly soft, so that when you press your finger on it, your finger moves about 1or 2 centimeters. Check the avocado for areas that are too soft - this may indicate it started to rot

Sometimes when I wait for the avocado to ripen, it doesn't become soft, but it turns black inside and bad ((

@ウィ 😂 really? De verdad? But what I do I pinch both top and bottom parts at the same time. If they’re soft I don’t buy only if it’s hard. Is that works too?

@Natalie sometimes this happens when the fruit was bumped and bruised in shipping and at the supermarket. The black spots can develop from the bruising, causing rot. That's why it's best to pick the hardest and greenest one, so that you can avoid bruising. Heat also affects it. If you keep the avocados in the refrigerator for too long, and then ripen them, they might rot quickly. You should ripen avocados in a warm place, and avoid putting them in the fridge.

@Ginnie puedes tocarlos donde sea, no necesariamente arriba o abajo. Y sí. Si estan un poquito suave, no los compres. Busca los que estén más verdes y duros, para hací poder monitorearlos en tu casa :)
