Information about Korea.
These days, I have been so busy that
I can't write down as many scripts as I used to. I'd appreciate your kind understanding in this. I made those scripts for people who are interested in traveling to or moving to Korea.
1. I don’t know about your country, but Korea is a safe country and its security from external threats is tight. Of course, there are some weird people in Korea (I think this is universal). However, it is safe that you can hang out anywhere with your friends at night and many people have done so.
2. In Korea, many people use 전세 (Jeonse : Key Money/Security Deposit) to rent a house or apartment. For your information, 월세(monthly rent) and 전세(Jeonse) are different. If you are going to live in Korea, I recommend that you search on Google first what Jeonse is.
3. We don’t have the culture of giving tips at restaurants. When I was younger and worked at a restaurant for a part time job, I saw some foreigners who left money on the table after dinner. However, you don’t need to do that in Korea. If you really want to do it, you can send me the tips instead😉
4. Hospital expenses are very cheap in Korea thanks to medical insurance. If you are looking for a job or an international student, you must seek information about this.
5. Many people seem to have a fantasy about Korean men through BTS or K-dramas. Nonetheless, if you come to Korea, you will see more of Bam's face like a squid rather than your 오빠들 looking like BTS members.
6. Recently, TOPIK tests seem to be more important. I recommend this test because it can surely improve your vocabulary and grammar.
