Today is 광복절 holiday in Korea 🇰🇷
No classes today, so I slept
in this morning and woke up to another rainy day in Seoul. I looked at my calendar, and noticed my 5 month adventure in Korea is coming to an end. I only have 6 weeks left, where did the time go?
I always say rain is so pretty and the sound of raindrops tapping against the glass is so romantic, but I felt sad today.
I should be happy about seeing everyone back home, Halloween, costume parties, warm pumpkin pies, late night sleepovers, camping under the stars, fresh mountain air, colorful leaves covering the house in Colorado in the fall, cuddling with a book by the fireplace, driving again, road trips, Runyon Canyon, LA night city views, New York, London... but I don’t want to leave.
I want to stay here forever.
I decided to take another break from Sparta this September to make the most out of my last 6 weeks here instead. There are still so many places I didn’t see, and things I want to do.
I met the warmest people and spent one of the best summers of my life here in Seoul. I‘m going to miss this chapter when it closes, but I’m returning in a month to continue language school, so I should cheer up about this summer ending and feel grateful that I get to come back.
I wonder what winter will have in store!
Happy 광복절 from the bottom of my heart 🇰🇷
