act

your age- grow up because you are acting immature.
ex: My friend is 30 years old, but he doesn't act his age. 🗣

catch your eye- something or someone got your attention
ex: Since her dress was so bright, it caught my eye. 👀

get cold feet- becomes frightened and second guesses a situation.
ex:As soon as I started climbing the mountain, I got cold feet. 🐓

to get something off your chest- to admit something that you have been holding on.
ex: (after you went on a rant).... I had to get that off my chest. 😠

    What's the meaning of "rant" in last example? Could you please tell me about it?

    @Anurag rant means to discuss passionately about something. For example, my friend started discussing the civil war in Myanmar and how other countries are reacting. It was a long conversation, so I would say, "my friend went on a rant".

    @Anurag yes. But if the action is happening right now then you would say, "he is going on a rant".

    There are similar expressions in Korean. 나이값 좀 하세요. 시선을 사로잡다. 몸이나 발이 얼어 붙었다. 속마음을 털어놓다.
