Do you know voiced and
unvoiced sounds? 🔊Vowels a, e, i, o, u and consonant sounds b, d, g, j, l, m, n, ng, r, th, v, w, y, z need your voice, your vocal chords, to exist. They are called VOICED SOUNDS.
🔇Consonant sounds c, ch, f, h, k, p, q, s, sh, t, th, x don't need your voice. They are called UNVOICED SOUNDS.
👉🏻Place the palm of your hand🤚🏻 on the front of your neck. Say aaaaaaa eeeeeee iiiiiiiii ooooooo...
Notice the vibration you feel on your hand from your throat (vocal chords)? These are voiced sounds. You will feel he same vibration with voiced consonants listed above.🔊
You will NOT feel this vibration with unvoiced consonants.🔇
