This time of year is referred to as the Holiday Season. Almost
every culture North of the equator has marked this time of year as special. It is on or about the 21st day of December that the Sun reaches its lowest point in the sky. The days are short. Darkness is long. It is a cold and depressing time of the year. The barren gray of winter can lead to bleak feelings of hopelessness. But then, on or about the 25th day of December, something remarkable happens. The Sun begins to ascend into the sky once again. This 1° of reversal, so small and hardly noticeable at first, offers us this hope. The darkness will pass. Bright days are ahead of us. This cold, dark, and depressing time will soon give way to the bright warmth and blooming flowers of Spring. Just hold on a little longer.Happy Holidays!
