People are obsessed with money, and I hate it. In the US and
Korea, I feel like people treat you differently based on how much money they *think* you make. It's pathetic!🤔I quit my job recently, and I feel pressured to quickly find another job (as if making money is my only life goal). Honestly? I'm not really looking for a new job. It's OK to take a break. Not working doesn't mean you're "lazy" or "unproductive" or "wasting time."
In fact, I'm busy!😅 I'm taking certification courses for my new career, working with non-profits, and creating design projects from scratch. I'm finally taking a risk and trying to change careers.
So why is what I do only valuable once a company starts paying me? We don't need money to prove our worth. We shouldn't value other human beings by their paycheck.
Your salary *doesn't* tell me if you're a good person or not. Why do we automatically like or respect someone just because they have money? Not all of them even worked for it! Think about it.
