On the 17 October last year I went on my first first bike ride

in Japan. 🚴‍♀️🚴

The hotel had a free bike. The plan was to set out and explore with no real plan devised at the time. I rode between Shikoku and Honshu. Do you know this route?

Upon arriving to Honshu at Onomichi I couldn't take my bike on the train without a bike bag so at 8:30pm I had to ride back. 😭😭🚴

I started raining and I got a flat tire. My luck was terrible😰. I arrived back at the hotel at 3:30am. I think the ride was 200km 🌜🌌

Today I rode with footage recoded from my ride.
I look back on the experience with mainly positive emotions. 🤭😜

    Wow😱You had such a hard riding! 大変だったね。 Shimanami Kaido is one of my favorite places💗The islands and beach are so peaceful. Have you enjoyed fresh seafood and Onomichi ramen?

    @KiQ oh, I didn't know Mamachari. But yes! It was.👍✨ It was the very bike pictured here that I rode in Japan. It was so loud and squeaky after I finished with it. 😅😅🤭 Also, I gave it back to the hotel overnight staff with a flat tyre but he was kind enough not to charge me. 😌

    @Marine wow! I didn't know it was called Shiminami Kaido. I went there though 😅 it was all a bit of a blur. I remember lovely beach spots and being surrounded by islands. Unfortunately my time in Onomichi was so brief. I only had time to see the station and the bike shop. I wish my experience at Onomichi was longer. 🥺🚴 Hopefully next time.

    @ I would've loved a racing bike. This thing was heavy, with single speed and horrible to ride uphills. 😭 I would ride this course again but only with my own bike.

    I was very suprised you rode 200km with bike. 🚴‍♀️ But it looks so comfotable to ride a bike run on the bridge 🌉

    @Hana it was very beautiful and scenic Hana san! I think I would recommend the ride to most people. 👍✨😊 It was a little bit too long. 😅 I wouldn't attempt this distance again.

    Oh‼️ Paul san rode a bicycle for a long time😱 And you got a flat tire‼️🤯 It's so terrible‼️ However,I have never been there though, it"s the beautiful way🚴🌄🌅🌉🌌Paul san has a lot of experience in Japan🗾
