Phrase of the day “The sky’s the limit”

We use this phrase to

say that anything is possible. It's common when encouraging someone or talking about your own possibilities.

It’s used formally and informally, and can be both spoken or written.

Here’s an example:

Tony 🗣 “So, you've opened up a new shop in Bath, and there's one in Bristol. What’s next?”

Pete 🗣 “The sky's the limit. We could have another 20 shops by the end of the year, maybe even more?”
