Life Advice: America’s Cost of Living
I know many foreigners
dream of coming to America, but most are not aware of how expensive it is to live here. “The American Dream” still exists, but it is fading day by day. As a teacher (20 years of experience + Master’s Degree) I get paid $3700 per month (after taxes). With this, I must pay the following prices per month:
Mortgage - $1950 for a 500 sq.meter home
Electricity - $175 (winter is expensive)
Water - $80 Internet - $60
Food - $350 Car - $350
Phone - $155
And so on... We earn American dollars. But we also spend them. Your country may be better off...
