In my life is more commonly used. On my life goes like: I swear on my life. I can't think of any other context

"in my life" would be used for personal experience. Whereas "on my life" is more of swearing an oath. Examples: "Never in my life have I gone to the zoo." and "I swear on my life I wouldn't take the money."
