I have another English phrase for you today! The

phrase is “get the last laugh”

This means even though person A is laughing at person B’s expense right now. At some point person B will be laughing at person A’s expense in the future.

For example: My friends were teasing and laughing at me for spending every day studying for my test, But I will get the last laugh on that!

It means when they don’t pass their test because they havnt been studying I will have my turn to laugh at them.
