Thanks, but I am what I am.
My dad is only half Japanese, but he was born, raised, and lived there most of his life. I don’t have a ton of questions about Japanese culture because of that.
My mom is German-American. So yes, I’m American. Not “pretending”.
Sometimes my English is weird. That happens when one parent is not a native speaker. It also happens when you get used to hearing non-native speakers talk. Some people start mimicking unconsciously.
