Our eyes may capture the images of those around us. Yet how many of us actually take a good look at those in front of us.
It's easy to be shallow, judgemental, and even condescending.
It is however, incredibly difficult to be nuanced and conscientious. We find it to be almost impossible at times to identify with others or to empathize with their strife. We don't see except what justifies our thoughts and actions, and grants us legitimacy, even if it is at others expense.
