I looked at a lot of polyglot and multilingual videos on Youtube

. People were stretching themselves really thin and were not able to get deep into languages, with many people ignoring reading and writing entirely and focusing only on speaking.     @anming A lot of people claim they speak a lot of languages, like six or seven or even more but they can’t really communicate much more than simple stuff I noticed?? It’s interesting!

    I can’t understand why people would only want to know how to introduce themselves in a bunch of languages and then that’s the end of the conversation they can have 😂 my Japanese is far from fluent but I’m happy I can live in japan and have daily conversations and write and read (kanji still needs work)
