Hey all, a English lesson on the saying: a can of worms.
This
refers to something that is deep that is messy when you dig deeper into it. It normally takes a lot out of the person to explain it, and there often isn't a clear solution either. If somebody tells you that there are worms in a can, would you still open it? Upon opening the can, the worms are henceforth destined to roam freely and never return to their can in a clean state.
So when people say: don't bother, it's a can of worms... this means that it's hard to explain and not worth our time.
When people say: that's opening a can of worms... this means that it's a deep topic, intertwined with a lot of bullsh**, so please skip the topic.

A can of worms
Don't bother, it's a can of worms
That's opening a can of worms
