Where I live, we have these bugs called 'Mayflies.' You only

see them about 1 to 2 weeks out of the year because they have short lives. The males live about 2 days and the females can live up to 2 weeks. These insects lay their eggs in the water and they take a year to hatch.
내가 사는 곳에 'Mayflies'라는 곤충이 있다. 수명이 짧기 때문에 일년 중 1 ~ 2 주 정도만 볼 수 있다. 수컷은 약 2 일, 암컷은 2 주까지 살 수 있다. 이 곤충들은 물 속에 알을 낳고 부화하는데 1 년이 걸린다.

Only fisherman like these bugs because fish love to eat them. Everyone else hates them because they are overwhelming in number.
물고기가 이 곤충을 먹는 것을 좋아하기 때문에 낚시를 좋아하는 사람들만 이 벌레를 좋아한다. 그 수가 압도적으로 많기 때문에 다른 사람들은 모두 이 벌레를 싫어한다.
