さいていでも3日かけてりょうほうのこうえんをみにいくことをおすすめします。 - I recommend taking at
least three days to see both parks. My last post was a previous visit to Utah and two national parks there, Canyonlands and Arches.
Let me continue with this and share a few more shots. There are three more photos from Canyonlands in this series, the rest is from Arches (not quite, the fourth photo is Wilson Arch outside of the park). The two parks are both stunning, but Canyonlands is the more remote one, with many vistas and canyons (thus the name). A huge portion of the park is not accessible via paved roads, you either have to hike in or take one of the jeep roads.
Arches, on the other hand is a lot more compact and also crowded. It is famous for its many natural sandstone arches, but also features lots of other interesting rock formations. You can take some pretty exposed hikes on rock ledges. It's not for the faint of heart 😎. On this trip, I only had a few hours in the park, so I did not hit all the sights. I missed the hike to Delicate Arch, the most famous arch. I hiked up there before, sometime around 2002. Again, so many great photo opportunities present themselves. I was there in the middle of the day, but I think the morning and evening hours are ideal for bagging some spectacular photos in the park.
