Today one of my students ( 6th graders) cried because he felt
frustrated that he can’t speak, read, or write English. He was left alone in the class crying. It hurts me to see him feel sad. So I decided to use my remaining time to help him read English. I told him “it’s okay to feel frustrated, I will help you learn English, you just need take it slowly. “
I spent 20 minutes teaching him how to read English ( alphabets, phonics, and etc)
He is starting to understand how to read now and he is smiling. It’s so precious to see a kid smile with confidence. haha
