Ten years ago today I was walking down the street in Ichigaya

, in central Tokyo. The ground shook hard enough that cars came to a stop and people went out into the street to get away from buildings.

Many people lost their lives in the disaster. It was a sad day for Japan.

    @Norico 典子 it was really a difficult time. We were afraid of radiation, especially since my kids were tiny.

    @Akira And then you know the Starbucks at the Ichigaya train station. I was walking up to that Starbucks when it happened.

    @Dave Oh,that starbucks is high place. I am now excelsior cafe near starbucks. I work at Ichigaya.

    I was on my way to school and it as such a breaking new and everybody was shocked

    @Dave no i was in Korea and some of my friends who were in Japan back then came back to Korea and my sister who wanted to go to school in Japan ended up not going

    @Dave and I’ve stayed a couple of night at Japanese host family 15years ago, my sister had been in touch with them for awhile but ever since then we lost contact. Hope that they just no longer use their email (correct me to sound natural)
