もりのなかにいるのはいつもたのしいじかんです。- It is always a good time being in the
forest. 🌲Just a few shots from my Sunday walk before the clouds came in:
A saw this little nuthatch and managed to sneak a few pictures. I also saw a woodpecker, which is what I was hoping to find, but this bird gave me no time at all and disappeared into the forest, so no photo...
At every outing you can't tell in advance what you are going to find. Some days you can keep walking and see nothing special and some days are full of surprises. I think it's important for wildlife photographers to just enjoy being outside and never expect to find anything in particular.
There is a professional photographer I follow on YouTube who posts vlogs from his photography trips to the National Parks and he shares this attitude. Some trips are just about experimenting and simply enjoying the beautiful environment you find yourself in.
I am always very disappointed to find trash in the forest. Today I saw a lot of beer cans and glass shards. I want to go back there soon and bring a trash bag with me and work gloves so that I can pick up some of this trash. It really bothers me how selfish and careless some people can be.
It looks like winter is back for a few days from this week's forecast. Seems like skiing on Sunday will be a sure bet! 😎⛷
