STUFF!
“Stuff” is a useful word with many meanings —
✔️“Stuff
” can be used as a NOUN similarly to how you may use the word “things” •My room is really messy! I have so many things in there.
•My room is really messy! I have so much stuff in there!
(Notice that I said “so many things” and I said “so much stuff”. This is because the word “thing” is a count noun— I can say 1 thing, 2 things, 3 things. But I can’t say 1 stuff, 2 stuff, 3 stuff.)
✔️”Stuff” can be used as a VERB that means you are putting something inside of something else. For example:
•To make a pillow, we need to stuff the pillow case with a lot of cotton. (Put cotton inside the pillow case.)
•A popular way to cook turkey at Thanksgiving time is to stuff the turkey with breadcrumbs and herbs. (Put things inside the turkey.)
If you are putting a lot of food in your mouth— someone might say ...
•Don’t stuff your face! Or Why are you stuffing your face? Take your time. 😂
✔️”Stuff” can be used as an adjective to describe someone who is too full with food!
If you are a lot of food, and you can’t eat anymore— you can say ...
•I am stuffed! (You filled yourself with too much food.) (You can also say “I am full”.)
