A real-life “Mario Kart” tournament is coming to Cincinnati this

weekend.The Mushroom Rally will be held two consecutive weekends at Full Throttle Indoor Karting

The race is described as "a unique experience that combines your favorite characters, friends and new friends for a driving experience that will take you back in time."But don't worry, there are no red turtle shells or banana peels involved.

Racers from each city will compete for a chance to wind a trip to Las Vegas for the national championship. Mushroom Rally will be hosting 16 heats in 16 cities across the nation.

There will be 20 spots in the final with three ways in which racers can win a place on the grid in Las Vegas:

Having the fastest lap time in your city.
Collecting the most stars in your city. The top three in the country will go to Las Vegas.
