〇 I am bored.
〇 I did this because I am bored.

These two words look similar but are completely different.

Boring= つまらない、興味が湧いて来ない, 面白くない
Bored= 暇、退屈

Another example

〇 This lecture is boring!
この講座つまんないなー

〇 He is very boring
彼は面白くないね、つまんないやつだ
