What’s the difference between 英文，中文 and 英语，汉语？Is it a regional

difference? Or is one version more formal?

    英语and汉语refer to the language，英文and中文 mostly refer to only words and expressions and grammar（speaking language not included,but sometimes we say“在中文中我们会这样说”（I think it is informal））.Also，中文and英文 refer to different versions of a book,website,etc.（中文版、英文版）

    Same meaning.And it’s not regional difference I think.But here is a little difference when making them as phrases. Like 英语汉语sound more like subjects or the type of language...and kinda more formal Ex.我在上英语课。[I’m having an English lesson.]/学汉语有点难。[It’s difficult to learn Chinese.] And 英文中文 sound a bit more casual..and more like using the language.Ex.我会说英文。[I can speak English.]/你会说中文吗？[Can you speak Chinese?]/这是一本英文小说。[It’s an English novel.]

    “语” more about exchange. just like 英语 and 汉语 it pay attention to speak or talk .They're talk with English or Chinese.you can say 他们用英语交流 “文”more about language or writing. so 英文or汉文 it pay attention to writing .This book is in Chinese .you can say 这本书是中文版的 all in all 英语and 汉语 are a way of communication. 中文and 英文 may contain a kind of natural culture. This is my humble opinion,for what it's worth.
