I'm stewing. Well actually I have been making a pork stew all
day.For many Canadians a hearty stew is a winter food. Typically made in a slow cooker the stew is made up of a meat, vegetables and a broth.
Much like Ramen houses in Japan, the broth is important for making a delicious stew and in many cases the recipe is a secret.
My stew is made up of pork (was on sale), potato, carrots, red onions, chives, mushrooms, asparagus, tomato, tomato paste, and a couple other veggies. The broth is a Pho base. The meat and veggies are spiced separately for a day before so the flavours are infused and will blend while cooking.
All stews make a lot, I have already eaten two bowls before I filled the containers. Who wants to share??
