What are the sister cities of the place where you live?🌍 Fukuoka has 8 sister cities. But there’s something interesting about them. Two of the sister cities are Auckland and Oakland. In English the pronunciation is different. But in Japanese they are pronounced the same. Why did they choose two sister cities with the exact same pronunciation?🤷🏼‍♂️

By the way, my hometown’s (Nanaimo) Japanese sister city is Saitama.
