It has been a while since I have posted anything actually related
to learning English. To anyone who has followed me because of those posts - I’m sorry!Today, I’ll give you a different way to describe hot weather, or humid weather. These sayings can vary, depending on where you are in the US.
For example, I live in northern Ohio. Today, the weather is warm but a little humid. Earlier, the sky was very cloudy and there was no breeze - but it was still humid. It felt like it had just rained, or might rain soon. We call that “muggy”.
A: Hey, what’s the weather like outside?
B: it’s pretty muggy today, so you might want to wear shorts and take an umbrella.
