Why would Korean be on that list? Maybe for English natives, but for everyone else?

@Jerone Williams The US government ranked different languages based on difficulty for native English speakers. It takes 80 weeks of study to become proficient in these languages, which is more than any other languages. Korean was in this category. Japanese was 80 weeks plus!

From what I have heard, the two most difficult languages to master are Arabic and Chinese (Mandarin, Cantonese, etc..) I personally agree with that statement but as an Arab its easier for myself. Although I find it difficult at times myself so...

I have never thought of learning Finnish though. It sounds a lot harder than expected.

Arabic definitely for me. Just because so many dialects and trying to learn one with consistent sources is horrid to find.

Chinese 100%. Korean is the easiest Asian language for me personally.

@Aziz It’s probably not in the same category as the others here because it has an alphabet, but the pronunciation and grammar are quite hard.

@Oemor Chollette That usually means 80 weeks of intense study. Full-immersion is the fastest way.

@Zack I never thought about how many dialects there must be. Arabic is spoken in so many countries throughout the world.
