The Rugby World Cup has been

a great occasion for me, so I wanted to share some thoughts... Watching the games in pubs and at the stadiums gave me a chance to connect with a lot of Japanese people. Together we enjoyed the sport of rugby, which is also so important in NZ. The great achievements of the Brave Blossoms showed us that people from different backgrounds can come together as "one team". In particular, Leitch and Thompson gave me a lot of hope for my own life here in Japan - they came here from NZ a long time ago, and now they can do interviews in Japanese and have made a big contribution to the country of Japan. I have been here for 3 years now... I hope I can make a contribution to Japan in the future. And I hope my Japanese improves too! 😄
