The grandeur of the castle fascinates me. 🏰💜

I visited the Fonthill

Castle, the home of American archeologist and tile maker Henry Chapman Mercer. It has 44 rooms and 18 fireplaces, located on 60 acres property. The interior walls, floors and ceilings are adorned with dazzling array of the artist's original handcrafted tiles. 🎆

I hope to see some castles next year in
Europe. 🍀🧚‍♂️

    I love palaces and castles. There are some in Germany. A beautiful palace, for example, is in Potsdam, the Sanssouci Palace. The castle also has a beautiful castle park.

    Oh Beth. I like castles and I like grand homes. There are many large homes in Rhode Island. They are the summer homes of people like Vanderbilt and Rockefeller. I like the small home called Filoli in the Bay Area. Many cool German castles on the Rhine River. Also saw and loved the home used in Downton Abbey. Oh and Loire Valley. Oh my. So many lovely ones there.

    @nana You're welcome 😊 Yes, there are castles in the US but they are not well known or rich in history like the ones in Europe. My daughter highly recommends visiting Scotland, therefore I will one day and see some castles. Let's hope that we'll be able to cross the borders soon.🎆🌎
