Mini English Lesson - 毎日
This week's lesson is pretty easy,
but so many people (including native speakers!) get it wrong. Can you translate this sentence into English? (Write it down if you want.)
毎日英語勉強します。
매일 영어공부 해요.
Did you write it like this?
I study English everyday.
This isn't correct! Do you know why?
"Everyday" is an adjective (形容詞 / 형용사)
"Every day" is an adverb (福祉 / 부가)
So, the correct sentence is :
⭕ I study English every day.
⭕ I go to work every day.
Or
⭕ Rice is an everyday food.
⭕ Riding the subway is an everyday activity.
Try it yourself :
1 - I try to exercise __, but it's so difficult.
2 - I want to practice __ conversation.
3 - My schedule is busy __.
4 - The weather is hot __.
