Are you familiar with the tiny house movement?
It was a year
or so ago when I became aware of tiny houses. Like most people, I grew up desiring a big house with lots stuff, but over time began to find value in having less. Having more means more stress, more money needing to be spent, and even more to clean. A big house? Who really needs it? Tiny houses captured my heart when I saw them. The designs vary a lot depending on who's living in them, but they're always brilliantly designed. Some are luxurious and built using expensive labour and materials, whereas in other cases there are even young people who have built their own homes for figures like $20,000. Imagine that! They're now debt free with their own homes, work less, and can live however they wish.
Check out the 'Living Big in a Tiny House' channel on YouTube. It's full of great episodes showing people's tiny homes. Some are completely self sufficient and off-grid too with solar and all of that kind of stuff. It's very cool.
