Listening & Speaking Practice?
(There’s been many requests for
individual speaking practice but it would be very difficult to fulfill individual requests, so I’m always thinking of ways I can be creative with my posts to help as many people as I can. I don’t know how this will go as I’m just experimenting. I hope it goes well.) 1. You will hear something an English speaker might say...
2. Then you will hear a question you have to answer.
3. Record your response. Try to include details if you can.
✔️Please note that in this exercise, you will hear the phrase “looking forward to”. This is something you should know, remember, and use. It’s very common.
It means something you are excited about that is going to happen in the near future or future.
•She is looking forward to having dinner with her husband tonight.
•I am looking forward to summer so I can travel.
(I also just want to let everyone know that I speak US English and I’m from the Midwest in case you’re wondering about things like accents, etc.)
Let’s see how this goes! If it works well, maybe I’ll continue with these. If it doesn’t work well, at least we gave it a try. ☺️
