I just saw that the Norte Dame de Paris is in fire! I never got

the chance to fly out of the continent but it was my first few places to visit. I hope no one gets hurt by this and hope we can save this beautiful monument

    Last news we got from the emergency team is that they're not sure they'll be able to stop the fire

    The curators kept asking money to renovate Notre-Dame and no one in France cared until the fire. Now, French president gave "thoughts and prayers". No funding yet.

    I just saw Notre Dame 20 days ago... Last update I saw was that it expected to be a complete loss.

    There are awful pictures from Notre Dame. It was a fabulous cathedral...very sad😢

    They say that this fire is an accident brought on by work being done on the building. I'm amazed that the fire became so ferocious.

    I just can't believe that this majestic monument. Hundreds of years of art, religious meaning, beauty and work is now ending its existence, Notre Dame was the symbol of a nation and the worldseart is baeatking😢❤️

    So happy that i got to visit it 3 years ago. But it's such a strange feeling seeing 800 years of history vanishing in such a short time

    @Jen It's a momument of CATHOLIC CHRISTIANITY, it's not a museum but a place of worshio where the rests of the cross of Jesus Christ were being saved. I'm not being rude dude

    I ve only seen it from the outside, it s an amazing building and in my opinion it represents Paris and France as a whole, it s an unimaginable condition,

    That’s absolutely horrible! I was so looking forward to seeing it when I went to France later this year. I just hope they can keep something from the remains.

    @Samuel サミュエル you have to understand what is their ethos, and business model. There are quite a few that can be trusted but you still need to cross reference your news with different sources

    It’s so sad, my heart is broken 😔 I can’t believe it’s happening. All the roof is gone, it’s awful. I hope the firefighter saved the most they could, they are doing a great job. It’s such a big loss to the France’s history and patrimony 😢

    Very sad news. Thankfully it was limited to the spire which was undergoing restoration, but you could argue the spire is the iconic part. Where will the hunchback live now? 😅

    In Korea, our cultural heritage(숭례문) was burned by someone's intentional fire..can share same feeling..so sad that we lost such a precious piece of history
