enchanted rose garden on Castle Hill. 🌿
For many years, the
Rose Garden at Castle Hill in the Ipswich was in ruins - crumbling and overgrown behind a locked gate. It always retained a wild beauty though, so when the opportunity had restored the garden last year, they wanted to maintain the romantic feel, while replanting and rejuvenating the space to evoke its former splendor.
Located below the more formal Italian Garden (which is also gorgeous and beautifully maintained!), the Rose Garden maintains an element of a ruin, but with new plantings - including beautifully fragrant roses - a new pergola and a fountain that is an exact replica of the garden’s original.
Both of the estate’s gardens are brimming with flowers right now, making Castle Hill on the Crane Estate the perfect spot to spend a summer
