Ok, so I was trying to hold off on saying this, but hellotalk
is not a dating app. It’s not an app to catfish people, or take advantage of them. People are here to learn and make friends. The flag right next to your profile picture is your nationality. Don’t put something there that is not you. That is catfishing. I have seen so many people put that they are korean and then they either say they are not in their bio, or try to fool people.
I don’t care if u put it in your bio, it is still misleading.
Another thing is that the language you select is selected for a reason.
It is because people who want to learn that language can look at your posts. DONT select a language that is not yours or that you are not fluent in!
The reason for this is because this is a learning app. You are BOTH a teacher and a student. You can’t help anyone if you don’t know the language you say you do.
It’s not only selfish, but again, catfishing.
Stop doing this and spread the message.
Translate it into your language and post. I’ve had enough of this.

Download the HelloTalk app to join the conversation.
