英語を母国語としない人から学ばないでください。

If you are not a native speaker, do

not attempt to teach proper pronunciation, grammar, or even specific meanings of certain English words.

It is confusing to the learner, it doesn't make you look good, and it does no one any good.

If you are Japanese, avoid learning English (pronunciation, grammar, definitions) from people in countries whose first language is not English; this includes India.

    @ 七 USA, England, Australia, New Zealand and Canada, are the ONLY places that have native English. Any place that teaches 2 main languages, is simply not good enough, as you are bound to have problems with pronunciation. I would recommend sticking to Canada and USA, unless you like the complex accents (dialects); but any of the above are TECHNICALLY qualified to help with native/fluent level English.

    @ 七 No A lot of countries do use English, but only those use them as their main/native language. I'm just doing what I can to help the community.

    @Haru I think you know.. They're not here to learn; they are here because English is the most likely language for Japanese to want to learn, so they claim to be native speakers, with ulterior motives in mind. It's very simple. Unfortunately, a lot of English beginners can't tell that the person is a fake native.. There's no way to fix this, other than to make it a fully paid app; even then, you'd get a few persistent individuals.

    You seem pretty rude and arrogant on HelloTalk. It’s not just YOUR language. English is not just Americans’ or British’s. People in India, Singapore, Malta, and in many places do speak English

    Nearly all children in India are trained to be at least tri-lingual In other states like Maharashtra, Gujrat, Punjab etc english and their state language are the 1st two, so if hindi is also included there can be 4 languages. Well after class 10th there's only one language either english in english medium schools or hindi in hindi medium schools

    Even if one has never studied english in school people here are able to understand english because english is used everywhere like the market boards, shop's name, name of some item one buys, boards indicating directions, notes and even the people also don't speak pure hindi many words of english are included in our daily conversations.

Education in India follows the Three-language formula, where children are to be taught Hindi, English and the regional language, with schools having the freedom to decide the sequence in which these languages are taught, as well as the medium of teaching.

    English-medium schools often find favor with parents, especially in urban areas, due to English international prestige, India's Colonial heritage, its usage in Indian business and it being the medium of instruction in most Indian universities. they can choose on their own like sanskrit, french, german, spanish, russian, japanese etc. Before positing anything about any country You should know ✌🏻

    @Sania 사니아 that was one hell of a rant.. Honestly, I couldn't care less; all the Indian men here use poor grammar and have terrible pronunciation. As far as the planet concerned, your national language is Hindi. Appreciate the giant wall of text that I can't remove from my moment, though

    @coachpotato bad pronunciation, poor grammar and the fact that their recognized global language is Hindi, disqualifies them from teaching English; especially professionally. I don't know how many times I have to repeat myself.. Indians should stick to teaching Hindi, not English (great that they can speak it, but don't teach it)
