Here’s a quick idiom for you.
“Kick
in the stomach” An expression you use when something makes you feel terrible immediately. Like an immediate bad feeling.
“When Joe saw the girl he had a crush on kissing another guy, it was a kick in the stomach.”
Another expression for a feeling when hit with big news:
“Hit me like a ton of bricks”
“I was having a pretty good day. But when the hospital called and said my mother was in a car accident, it hit me like a ton of bricks.”
Ok, I hope those make sense.😁

Ok question time.
Is there any difference between
「僕の名前は____です」と「私は___です」❓
“My name is_____” and “I am ______”
Is one just more casual than the other?

Walter is doing a lot better. His stitches are out and I just put a little medication on his scar from time to time while it heals. He’s back to being his normal happy self again. 🐶😊
