Cracker Barrel was founded in 1969 by a sale representative from

the Shell Oil company, who developed the restaurant and gift store concept initially as a plan to improve gasoline sales. It was designed to resemble the traditional country store reminiscent to his childhood years. Multiple locations were built along roadside and highways with goals to attract the interest of highway travelers.

I’ve been to lots of Cracker Barrel locations over the years due to my love for road trips. So, I was surprised to find a new one that just opened on my way to work today. Though I rarely have breakfast in the morning, I could not help myself but to check in and ordered some Biscuits and Gravy to go 😋.
