こんばんわ まなさん げんきですか?
きょう は カレーライスが欲しかった!🍛😋😜
じゃ いただきます!🙏🍛🥄
Hi everyone!
So, today I was craving having Japanese curry rice again! 😋🤣😅It is a fairly easy dish to prepare as long as you have all the ingredients prepped ahead of time. I decided to go with chicken instead of beef this time. I wish I could have added some shrimp to the chicken curry but that will be for next time.
So, I ran out of my usual S&B Golden Curry mix (mild), so I decided to use House Foods brand Vermont Curry(med. hot) with a touch of apple and honey. 🍫<— curry block NOT chocolate🤣 Incidentally, I was told from another Japanese person to add chocolate (bittersweet?dark chocolate?milk chocolate?) at the end of cooking the curry sauce for an added bit of flavor, but I forgot to get some at the store.😩☹️
Here are the items that I incorporated in my curry sauce: olive oil, vegetable oil, butter, onions, garlic, carrots, honey crisp apples, green bell peppers, potatoes, chicken, paprika, turmeric, and ginger. 🧑🏻🍳
Also, I made this in my new BergHOFF cookware and I really liked how I could put the lid on the side of the pot which is a genius aspect the pot! 👍😁
Time to also open up a can of Fukujinzuke to add on top of my curry rice. 🤔I wonder if I should have had that red colored ginger to add as well? That’s ok because I already added ginger to the curry! 😄
What other items would you recommend I try to add next time?🤷🏻♂️
Which brand of curry sauce do you like to use in Japan and why? Please comment below.😁👍
Ok, have a wonderful evening!👍😁
I wish all of you could join me with my curry rice dinner because food always taste better with nice company! Plus, it’s a bit sad to eat alone.😔🥺
