"Be skinny, wear makeup, have clear skin, cover up, be happy
" these are the words spoken from today's society. Being just a little overweight is considered "fat," you have to wear makeup to be considered "beautiful," having acne means "you don't take care of yourself," wearing clothes that are "too revealing" will lead you to being a "slut", if you cover up too much you'll be considered "insecure," being unhappy isn't acceptable because people have worse problems, so you need to learn to deal with the pain.. These are the impossible standards that we must reach in order to be accepted, loved, and beautiful. The question for me is, how can someone be happy when they are under constant pressure for not being perfect? We will never be perfect and we shouldn't have to constantly strive to impress the world, we shouldn't have to be someone we are not just for the sake of someone else's happiness. People expect so much from everyone, but when tables are turned, it's disrespectful.. no one in this world will ever be proud of themselves because of all the judgments/assumptions made, it's unbelievable to even think that this is the kind of world we live in. Nobody knows anyone's life story, therefore they shouldn't judge people by their appearances. We were put on this earth to make ourself happy because you are you and you have your own life, feel free to live it without letting people control you. We shouldn't have to do things we are uncomfortable with just to be appreciated. Make yourself happy and you will be surrounded with more positive people who will love you for who you are. Don't let society define who or what you are. We are all beautiful no matter the size/looks/race/ethnicity/religion/sexuality/gender. 👑If you are one of the people that are constantly judging other's and pressuring them to make YOU happy.. Ask yourself this, Are You Happy?
