Here is a

photo series from just another evening visit to the lake. The osprey took the eagle's favorite perch that night. Not my best photo, but it was already pretty dark. 

The water runoff is high, so the dam looks nice this time of year. It is just a trickle most of the time otherwise.

The garden in the little park below the dam is starting to show some colors. This is a place I will keep an eye on, providing some great photo subjects through the summer.

The sunset that day was pretty spectacular. I stood there for quite some time taking in the changing light and colors. It's not easy walking away from that and getting back in the car without a soul to talk to.

My little vacation time begins. I am somewhat nervous because the weather is looking a little iffy for Monday when I will depart. I hope it will not be too rainy...
