Phrase of the day : “Pulling your weight”

This phrase is used

to describe working as hard as other people in the group. It is often used in business, but in a negative way if someone isn’t doing their fair share.

Here’s an example:

Pete 🗣 “What happened to Carol? I’ve not seen her in the office for a while”

Dave 🗣 “oh, she got fired. I heard they let her go because she wasn’t pulling her weight”
