Growing up in the United States, my family and I have adopted

many traditions. As a kid, we didn’t really know the significance of easter except that we would get a basket full of goodies. As we got older we understood the significance behind it.

Easter is a Christian holiday, and Christian celebrations focus on the true meaning of Easter: the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Two thousand years ago, a man died on a cross, was buried, and three days later rose to life again.

Fast forward to present day, Easter is always celebrated on a Sunday following the first full mean. Even if your not religious, others simply find it a day to have eggs hunts, bbq, dye eggs, dress the little boys and girls up in their fancy outfit, and take pictures with the Easter bunny.
