Here's a fun English lesson for you all:
The word "tea" doesn
't just mean a drink. It can also be slang for gossip. For example: "Do you have any tea?" aka "do you have any gossip?"
The term "spill the tea" means to blurt out gossip to people. For example: "spill the tea, sis!" mean "say the gossip, sis!" when you have gossip to say, you can tell people you "have the tea."
This term of tea = gossip comes from Southern U.S. culture of Southern women gathering for tea, sitting and sharing the gossip of the town.
