When i read a profile and it says..."Don't send me a msg saying

hi, hello, how are you?" etc with a long list of rules and regulations of talking to them. it doesn't make them sound cool or make me desperate for the grand honor of their time. It just looks like they copied and pasted some annoying spoiled teenage girls profile. what is a person supposed to say to someone they have never met before...😂😂

Sorry for my rant. But the "Entertain me right away or else!" attitude seems to be infecting a lot of people these day's, so guy's please don't be like this. A conversation needs to be an effort made by both people!😁

@Ekaterina Give the muslim/indian guy's a break...If they ask you to "Marry me baby i love you so much" in the first message it's just how they do things okay?😋 Maybe after 6 billion msg's one girl will say yes. You have to admire their optimism if nothing else!😊👍

@ Ah i see! But if "Hi" or "Hello" is followed by "How are you" that is also unacceptable so yeah, maybe it's just me though, I'm not working hard enough...I see your point! 👌😊

So I wrote “ I will never speak to people who write many rules in their profiles “ before. Lol but actually it’s annoying that I always need to start a conversation with only “ Hi “ . It’s much better if they write more information about themselves though

I have this written on my profile, not because I’m convinced that I’m better than others but most people don’t put any thought into their messages and randomly send out „hi“s, it’s a waste of time for both parties. Sending someone messages just because „they seem nice“ won’t lead to amazing conversations but to „message fatigue“. I have great conversations with people who took the time to check my profile because it’s easier to spot common interests. When I message people I always add what compelled me to do so, it just guarantees smoother communication. Also it keeps the creeps at bay. 😊

@𝔾𝕖𝕞𝕚𝕟𝕚 I understand it is your profile my point was a conversation goes both ways, so both should make the effort to keep a conversation flowing. And i know openers like "Hi" or "How are you" can be mundane but you are speaking to a stranger for the first time. But besides all this my post wasn't meant to be a personal attack on anyone. It's just an observation that if you want to be contacted maybe this isn't the best way. Have a nice day and thanks for taking the time to share your views. I do understand your argument.😊

@Antony安斗仁 I didn’t take it as an attack, I understand the frustration that some users experience when searching language partners. But if a person doesn’t have a profile pic or doesn’t write anything about themselves on their profile, they don’t do the bare minimum to present themselves. Chances are they won’t exert any effort to invest in a language exchange neither, at least that has been my experience. It was interesting reading the comments on your post. I hope you have a nice day, too. 😊

I know this is an old moment but lol being an Indian Muslim guy who genuinely loves languages makes it hard hahahah. You know I hate those people who just give one word answers like bruh I put so much thought into filtering through so many profiles and writing a message in a foreign language.
