In your culture, if you say: “let’s meet up for lunch sometime

!” or “we should grab coffee!” as you’re parting ways, do you really mean it? Or is it simply like saying, “Bye! See you later!”

In America, at least from what I’ve gathered over the years, if you really mean it, you make sure to set a specific day or date, otherwise it’s just a polite way of saying, “thanks, bye!”
